Adel M. Alimi

Adel M. Alimi has been a full Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Sfax, National Engineering School of Sfax (ENIS), since 2006. He is an IEEE Senior Member. He is the founder and director of the REGIM Laboratory for Intelligent Machines. His core research covers intelligent pattern recognition, machine learning, data analysis and intelligent control of large-scale complex systems. He has published 87 journal papers and 307 conference papers, with over 1,700 citations. He has contributed more than 20 chapters to edited scientific books, supervised 56 PhD theses, and received several IEEE Awards, the INNS Award, the Tunisian Presidency Award for Scientific Research and Technology, and the Tunisian National Order of Merit for Education and Science.

Kegen Yu (IEEE Senior Member) is a Professor with the School of Environment and Spatial Informatics, China University of Mining and Technology, Xuzhou, China. His core research spans GNSS reflectometry, wireless positioning, signal processing, remote sensing, and deep learning-enabled navigation. He has authored three scholarly monographs, edited five technical books, and published over 180 peer-reviewed journal papers, including more than 80 IEEE journal articles. Ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University and honored with the Vebleo Fellow, he also served on the editorial boards of multiple international academic journals.

With more than two decades of experience across academia, startups, and multinational organizations, he has led innovation initiatives in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, blockchain, and technology management. Dr. Taherdoost has published over 500 scholarly works  and authored or edited numerous books on technology and research methodology. Vincent CS Lee is an Associate Professor in the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Monash University, Australia. A Fellow of Engineers Australia, Chartered Engineer (UK) and IEEE Senior Member, his core research covers signal processing, machine learning, data mining, digital health informatics and neuro-financial engineering. He has published over 200 top-tier peer-reviewed papers, led 22 competitive international research grants, supervised more than 60 postgraduate students to graduation, and received the Monash Dean of IT Excellence Award for Higher Degree Supervision.

Prof. Wenwu Yu is currently the Dean of the School of Mathematics and an Endowed Chair Professor at Southeast University, China. He is an IEEE Senior Member. His research interests cover multi-agent systems, networked collective intelligence, distributed optimization, game theory, and resilience in complex socio-technical networks. He was listed as a Highly Cited Researcher in Engineering by Clarivate Analytics/Thomson Reuters every year from 2014 to 2024. He has published about 100 papers in IEEE Transactions journals, which have received more than 20,000 citations. He is a recipient of the Second Prize of the State Natural Science Award of China (2016), and has been selected as a Chang Jiang Scholar in Artificial Intelligence by the Ministry of Education of China.

José Luis Verdegay is an IEEE Senior Member and Professor Emeritus in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Granada (UGR), Spain. His research interests lie in fuzzy sets and logic, soft computing, and computational intelligence, with a focus on fuzzy optimization, decision making under uncertainty, and multi-objective optimization, often employing metaheuristics such as evolutionary algorithms and swarm intelligence. According to the World Ranking of Scientists by Stanford University, he has consistently ranked among the top 2% most influential researchers globally since the inception of the ranking in 2019. His distinctions include an Honorary Doctorate, membership in the Cuban Academy of Sciences, and the Gold Medal of the Iranian Operations Research Society.

He develops fast, reliable data transfer and big data workflow solutions that empower scientists to move, process, and analyze large datasets efficiently across diverse computing environments. His work has been supported by major federal agencies, including the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Department of Homeland Security, Office of Naval Research, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where he also serves as a collaborative research staff member.
